Grade: 8 - 12 | Over a quarter of a million people participated in the March on Washington on August 28, 1963, and heard Martin Luther King, Jr., deliver his 'I Have a Dream' speech. It was one of the largest political rallies for human rights in United States history, and called for civil and economic rights for African Americans.
