Human Evolution for Kids

Human Evolution

Human evolution is the biological and cultural evolution of modern human species, homo sapiens, from primates, or ape-like ancestors. The study of human evolution includes other hominins (primates that walk upright and have relatively large brains) such as members of the genera Homo, Australopithecus, Paranthropus and Ardipithecus. Bulk of the evidence comes from fossil records and is now being supplemented by advances in genetics.
