Forests
Forests are regions that are predominantly covered with trees and woody vegetation. There are different types of forests whose characteristics are determined by the climate, soil, and topography of the region. Forests provide habitats for a wide range of animals and organisms. The major types of forests are rain forest, taiga, temperate hardwood forest and tropical dry forest.
