Betsy Ross

Betsy Ross was born on January 1, 1752 in Philadelphia.  She was adopted by Samuel  Griscom, Betsy only had a dad.  She was a Quaker. 

Betsy was very busy.  Very loving and kind.  She was creative, confident, funny, polite, quiet, and shy.  Betsy is known for knitting the American flag. 

Her husband John died in the Revolutionary war by a gunpowder exploin and got married a second time on June15th 1777 to Joseph Ashburn.  They had five children.  Betsy died January 30th 1836 in her sleep.  Age of 84.  Witch was 29 days after her birthday.  Now you know more about Betsy Ross
