Plants make their own food in a process called PHOTOSYNTHESIS.

They get radiant energy from the sun.

Plants have CHLOROPHYL in their leaves. This makes the leaves green.
The leaves have holes in them called STOMATA. Carbon dioxide enters the  leaves through the stomata.

The water enter the plant through the roots.

Plants use the sunlight,water,carbon dioxide,and chlorophyl to make GLUCOSE.

They then give off oxygen.
