Camels are desert animals. Camels eat grass and Cactus and many other plants in the desert. They are consumers.

 

They can survive in the desert for a very long time because they store water in their body. They store water in special bags  inside their stomach. 

 

The hump on their back is full of fat and that  provides them with energy.

This is a PYRAMID in Egypt.

 

The first pyramid was built in 2630BC

(about 5000 years ago)

138 pyramids have been discovered in Egypt.

 

None knows who built them so they are very mysterious. Some people think aliens built them.

 

The pyramid is like a grave for the ancient kings and queens, whose bodies were made into mummies. They were placed deep under the pyramid, so nobody could steal or disturb them.

This is a sidewinder. They eat other animals like hares.

Sidewinders live in the desert .

They are poisonous. If  you get bitten,you have to go straight to the hospital. They are consumers.

A cactus  can survive in the desert for a very long time. A cactus doesen`t need very much water. They are producers.
